This motorsport-inspired model comes as standard with the Vantage's sports pack suspension and a all new exhaust system. Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport breaks landspeed worldrecord
Today (July 4, 2010) in Wolfsburg, Molsheim the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport achieved a new landspeed world record for production cars, on the proving grounds of the Volkswagen Group nearby its headquarters at Wolfsburg. In the presence of the German Technical Inspection Agency (TÜV) and a representative of Guinness Book of Records confirmed that the Super Sport achieved an average top speed of 268 mph (431 kmh). Pagani Zonda R sets new Nurburgring Record
Pagani announced earlier this week that the Pagani Zonda R has just set a new Nurburgring record of 6 minutes 47 seconds. This beats the previous fastest time set by the Ferrari FXX only a few months ago by 11.16 seconds. Pagani claim that the Zonda R used in setting this phanoninal time was completely standard running on bespoke P-Zero tires from Pirelli powered by the 6.0 litre V12. This accelerates the Zonda R from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds and onto a whopping 350 km/h, but this does come at a cost of 1.46 million Euros.
